• 1) The approximate daily mean temperatures may be obtained by means of three or four observations a day at equal time-intervals. As the routin work in cultivating season, the observations of daily extremes of air-, water-, and soil-temperatures are the most convenient.2) The averaged temperatures of the soil-strata may be easily deduced from the mean soil-temperature at 10cm depth, (See Fig. 2 and Table 3)
