In this study, utilization of public announcement systems for disaster information in Fukushima prefecture is investigated. And relationship between contents broadcasted by these systems and demographic statistic of municipalities are analyzed. As a result, there is no direct relation between existence of the public announcement systems and demographic statistics of municipalities. The order of acceptability of contents broadcasted by these systems is (1) disaster information, (2) notification from local government, (3) information for farmers, (4) notification from schools and (5) results of regional elections. Disaster information is broadcasted at all local governments which have public announcement systems. Notification from local government is not accepted broadcasting at urbanized municipalities. Information for farmers is only accepted broadcasting at agricultural municipalities. Notification from schools is accepted at smaller agricultural municipalities. Thus, The acceptability of each content is closely connected with progress of urbanization of municipalities.
