A 6 year-old male was admitted to our hospital because of abnormal shadow on chest x-ray. Chest x-ray and chest CT revealed a well-defined tumor shadow in the right upper lobe. However, neither Ga-scintigraphy, bronchofiberscopy nor other serum examinations could suggest the diagnosis. Then, the thoracotomy was performed and postoperative pathological examination of the resected specimen showed inflammatory pseudotumor. Because radiological findings of inflammatory pseudotumor was not specific, the diagnosis of inflammatory pseudotumor was mainly gained by surgical procedure. Surgical procedure should be performed to preserve the maximum residual lung without leaving the lesion.
