Two cases of tracheal tumor and tracheal stenotic lesion successfuly treated by endoscopic surgery with Nd-YAG laser.

Two rare cases of tracheal stenotic lesion are reported.<BR>Case 1 : A-53-year old female with poorly controlled diabetes mellitus was admitted because of severe dyspnea. Biopsy of the tracheal lesion showed "inflammatory granuloma", so inflammatory tracheobronchial stenosis was diagnosed. She was treated with tracheostomy, endoscopic surgery with Nd-YAG laser, insulin and antibiotics. She recovered well.<BR>Case 2 : A-75-year old male was admitted with tracheal tumor discovered incidentally on CT scan. He was treated with endoscopic surgery with Nd-YAG laser. The histological diagnosis was "fibroma of the trachea".<BR>Endoscopic surgery with Nd-YAG laser is useful in the treatment of benign tracheal stenotic lesions.
