Structure of the spermatozoa of lampreys was electron microscopically observed. From the head of the spermatozoon projects a long or short slender cylindrical process which hardly transmits electron beams. The tail shows itself as a kind of fiber consisting of several protofibrils which are counted up to 3-9 in its distalpart. and are separated from each other in its end. It is remarkable that each protofibril contains lower subunits-filaments-showing spiral structure clockwise.
