• The change of the property relating to snow accretion after early deterioration of materials for the outdoor installations such as traffic marks, signboards and street furnitures was preliminarily investigated. The early deterioration of materials was brought on with 500 hours exposure to the weather-meter as the accelerated exposing test. The effects of the pollution due to clay dust and car exhaust were also examined. The facilitation of snow accretion was estimated with measurement of adfreezing strength of ice and snow to the materials.<BR>Form the test results it is concluded that snow accretion is distinctly facilitated due to the deterioration of materials, especially by adding the pollution.
