From 1984 to 1991, 46, patients (57 knees) received total knee replacements in our department. The 19 patients (23 knees) over 70 years old were followed for an average of 2.6 years. The clinical results were evaluated using the criteria of three universities proposal.At the follow-up examination, the mean knee score improved from 45.8 points preoperatively to 65.0 points postoperatively.
