Apartment dwellers move more and more frequently in recent years. Motives of the move are job transfer, change for better housing, and marriage. The desire for change is the prevailing motive and is spurred by dissatisfaction with the previous residence. The motive for change is the most typical. The move by this motive originates from discontent on the previous residence, and the discontent occurs when 70% of the previous residence period has been lived. Dissatisfaction arises when at least one of the following three living comfort factors is felt by the residents to be unsatisfactory: The ratio of house rent to monthly income, commuting hours, and space.
