Phase decompositions during ageing of Fe-Mo-Co and Fe-Mo-V ternary alloys were investigated by means of transmission electron microscopy and also metastable spinodal regions of these alloy systems were theoretically evaluated. Results obtained are as follows. The spinodal region of Fe-Mo system is extremely expanded to the Fe-corner of the ternary system by alloying a small amount of Co or V. The microstructural changes during ageing of these ternary alloys were essentially the same as that of Fe-Mo binary alloy.
