Three new types of corrosion-resistant steel sheets for automotive body panels have been developed.1) Zinc-nickel alloy electroplated steel sheet2) Two-layer zinc-iron alloy electroplated steel sheet3) Organic composite-coated steel sheetWith their protective coating alloyed, applied in two layers or composited, these corrosion-resistant steel sheets have excellent corrosion resistance and paintability for relatively low coating weight. Their formability, weldability and other properties are also balanced well. This report mainly describes the development concept and quality performance of each of the new types of corrosion-resistant sheets.
