AN AUTOPSY CASE OF CHORIOEPITHELIOMA ORTIGINATING IN A MALE MEDIASTINUM

This report deals with a male patient of 28 years, suspected of the metastatic tumor formation of stomach carcinoma to the lungs.<BR>On section, a fist-sized primary tumor was revealed in the mediastinum and metastatic tumors were recognized in the lungs, lymph nodes of pulmonary hilus, kidneys, ileum and cerebellum. Gynecomastia was noticed besides the tumor formation.<BR>Histologically, mediastinal tumnr was typical chorioepithlioma and metastatic tumors showed entirely similar pictures.<BR>In the testis and other genital organs or bladder, there is no tumor or scar, haemorrhge and necrotic areas which were thought to be the vestige of the involution of the primary tumors.<BR>On account of the above mentioned histological and gross findings, it is considered that this case was chorioepithelioma in the male originating in the mediastinum.
