Correction of lens defects in three-stage Electron Microscope

In the three stage electron microscope, it is possicble to reduce radial distortion and chromatic difference in magnification to zero by usmg objective and intermediate lenses as compound lenses. Calculations are carried out for bell-shaped fields of the axial field distributionH(Z)=Hm/1+(Z/a)2and their results are compared with experimental values.
