As a part of the fundamental studies on the reaction between mineral surface and collector ions, the relationship between the equi-adsorption points and the isoelectric points was discussed for cassiterite, monazite, ilmenite and zircon in beach sand, which were the most important mineral resources in South East Asia.<BR>The adsorption amounts of hydrogen and hydroxyl ions for the above various minerals were determind by the acid titration method which was theoretically considered by one of the authors. The zeta potentials were measured by the electrophoresis method. It was found that the equi-adsorption points of monaziteand ilmenite were in agreement with the isoelectric points. Howevere, the above phenomenon was not recognized in the case of zircon and cassiterite. Thus, it was confirmed that the equi-adsorption point did not always be in agreement with the isoelectric point.
