We recently experienced two cases of dislocation fracture of the shoulder, which was manually irreducible and required open reduction. Reduction was difficult in Case 1 because of the intervention of the fragments of greater and lesser tuberosities and the long head of the biceps tendon, and in Case 2 because of depression at the defect of the head, impaction of the articular capsule, and extension of the subscapular muscle.
