• In the NACSIS-CAT, the Japanese online national bibliographic database, several bibliographical descriptions contain various class numbers and subject headings. It is available for classifying books, but we cannot always find adequate class numbers to match the classifications in use. In this paper we have compared DDC with NDC using the NACSIS-CAT, with a view toward making them interconvertible.
