• Titanium(IV) antimonate (TiSbA) showed an extremely high selectivity for lithium ions in ammonium nitrate media, the increased selectivity order for microamounts being Rb<SUP>+</SUP><Na<SUP>+</SUP><Cs<SUP>+</SUP><K<SUP>+</SUP><<Li<SUP>+</SUP>. The selective separation of lithium ions from other alkali metal ions can be achieved on small columns of TiSbA by a mixed solution of nitric acid and ammonium nitrate.
