We treated one female case of brachial plexus paresis folowing zero-position fixation. We performed repair of the rotator cuff in this case. Brachial plexus paresis occurred after application of the shoulder functional brace in zero-position.It took nine months for her to recover from the paresis. The risk of this complication increases when the shoulder join is abducted horizontally.In order to aboid this omplication absolutely, the arm must be located in accurate zero-position. The shoulder functional brace is useful in ROM exercise after fixation of the shoulder.
