In this paper, suppose that the consumption of crude oil will be decreased in order to reduce the carbon dioxide emission, and the carbon tax is therefore enforced as a means to reduce the consumption of that. Authors supposed that from the viewpoint of the price elasticity, "characteristics" of crude oil as consumption goods are discussed, and calculated the rate of carbon tax from the value of each price elasticities of demand on the goods. Furthermore, we assumed that we impose the rate of carbon tax on the imported crude oil. In addition, by using the input-output table in 1995 the price repercussion effect was calculated. In conclusion, if we use the tax based on the value of price elasticity of demand, the repercussion effect in price changes on each industry in Japan is not so large.
