The plasma produced by the linear plasma gun is axially injected into the Heliotron C magnetic field through a small aperture limiter with 15mm diameter. The ion temperature is about 20<SUB>ev</SUB>, the electron temperature is about 5<SUB>ev</SUB>, the plasma density range is from 10 to 2×10<SUP>12</SUP> particles/cc with mean axial direction velocity 7×10<SUP>6</SUP> cm/sec.<BR>The radial density profile, the transmission factor, the loss from the neutral line and the over-all decay time of the plasma density are measured.<BR>It is revealed that the Heliotron C field can not cancel out the toroidal drift of the plasma particles in spite of the existence of the θdrift, and the plasma confined in that field escapes out mainly from the neutral line.<BR>The decay time du : e to the neutral line loss is 35-80 μsec.
