It has been shown that the lipid of fruit body of mushroom, Lac. chrysoheus Fr. contains an unusual fatty acid as a component. The IR, MS and NMR analyses of derivative of fatty acid obtained by saponification of the lipid and subsequent TLC established its structure as 6-oxooctadecanoic acid (6-ketostearic acid).
