In this paper, the jump phenomenon in the relation curves between the standard deviation of random input to the system and that of error signal in the system is treated by the equivalent linearization technique as already presented in our earlier papers. Firstly, the responses of a nonlinear control system containing an on-off relay with dead band are evaluated to a stationary random input and then the jump phenomenon is theoretically recognized. Secondly, in order to verify the above theoretical investigations, the experimental studies are carried out by using an analog computer. The detailed description of the generating apparatus of a random noise used in these studies is given in Appendix.
