We measured the degree of displacement of soil mass by inserting of the inclinometer and the strain gauge pipe into the earth at the upper, middle and lower part of the landslide slope so that we could make clear the mechanism of creep movement of soil mass which is found frequentry in the tertiary type landslide areas, and we did horizontal and vertical displacement of the ground surface, too.<BR>As a result, it's found that the landslide occurs from the upper part of the slope and transmits to the middle and lower part, at the strain velocity of slide plane 10<SUP>-8</SUP>-10<SUP>-9</SUP> per minute and that of the ground surtace 10<SUP>-7</SUP> per minute. And it was also obvious that the displacement of slide plane appears early and transmits by steps to the ground surface with viscoplastic destruction.
