A new experimental oxide dispersion plus gamma prime strengthened Ni-base alloy of Alloy 92 (Ni/8Cr/6.5Al/6W/3Ta/1.5Mo/3Re/5Co/1Ti/0.15Zr/0.01B/0.05C/1.0Y2O3, mass %) was developed for gas turbine applications. The purposes of this work were to characterize the recrystallization behavior and evaluate the properties of the Alloy 92 by varying thermomechanical processing and heat treatment conditions.Mechanical properties of Alloy 92 were evaluated after gamma prime precipitation hardening on the zone annealed bars. The yield strength of Alloy 92 at 760°C and 982°C is higher than MA 6000. The 100-hour rupture strength of Alloy 92 at 760°C and 982°C is 630MPa and 280MPa, respectively. This work shows that the enhancement of the intermediate temperature properties of MA ODS alloys could be achieved by increasing the amount of gamma prime precipitates, as in this Alloy 92.
