The progress in steel materials for die and mold is remarkable. In addition to the common grades of tool steels, new grades, such as matrix high speed steels and powder metallurgy steels are used in the various service conditions.Moreover currently easy to use steels, such as good machinable tool steels are developed. In other words, development of tool materials is directed towards efficiency and convenience in manufacturing process of tools.
