• Superlattice or hybrid-multilayers are the multilayers of different materials having repeating thickness of the order of nano-meters.Not only the combination of metal-metal, semiconductors-semiconductors, ceramics-ceramics and organic-organic materials, but also the combination of other types of materials, for example metal-semiconductors and metal-ceramics are interesting.The combination includes three types, or multitypes of materials such as metalceramics-semiconductors, or different repeating thickness.Using patterns, three dimensional multi-layers can be made. Completely new types of materials can be made by this category with infinite possibilities. Unexpected interesting properties can be expected.
