To obtain a key to improve the control method of the insects, laboratory teats were made on the resistance of Phrixolepia serieea BUTLER at different larval stages to DDT emulsion.<BR>The resistance of larvae to DDT was promoted as they grew larger. The regression coefficient of mortality upon the size of larvae was different with the concentration of chemicals used, and the more concentrate the emulsion, the larger the regression coefficient, namely, the size, of larvae more strongly affected the resistibility to DDT when higher concentrated chemicals were applied.
