To determine the comparative vitamin B contents in raw beef and "Yamatoni", baby albino rats were used, feeding them different quantities of each to keep up their normal growth.1. In the case of raw beef, a quantity containing 5 grms of dry matters per head, gave them normal growth.2. In case of "Yamatoni", a quantity containing 20 grms of dry matters per head, is necessary to keep up their normal growth.3. We could not find any difference in regard to vitamin B contents, between freshly canned one, and thosd kept in store for 5 years.4. "Yamatoni" lose a great percentage of vitamin B contained in original raw beef, during its process of cooking.
