On the Asymmetrical Development of the Right and Left Testes in the Domestic Fowls

1. In the embryos, the left testes are heavier than the right in a very high proportion of cases as 94.8 per cent.2. In the chicks at an early stage after hatching the left testes are larger than the right or of equal in a high percentage of cases and the reversal cases are only 9.4 per cent.3. But, with the age of days, the instances of the larger right testes gradually increase and in the cocks more than one year of age the percentages of cases show tolerably high percentage as 43.4. When there are differences of the weights in right and left, the difference is positively remarkable in the case that the left ones are larger. H. MIMURA 95. The pigment on the right and left testes are one-sided predominance of the manifestation, and the cases of left-sided are 86 per cent.
