The magnetic field analysis is widely used in order to design a miniature and highly efficient electrical machines. In order to analyze large (including huge mesh) and complicated problems, the development of new techniques, such as improved pre/post system, hysteresis, precise estimation method of iron loss, multigrid method, efficient optimization method, are required. In this article, recent developments of some of those techniques are discussed and a few examples are illustrated.
