研究論文(Thesisses)This paper examines when and how the long term career was formed in Japanese motion picture industry at its early stage. Two period of time are defined, first period is 1897-1903, from import of Cinematograph until just before appearance of permanent motion-picture theater. Second is 1903-1910, appearance of permanent motion-picture theater to just before emergence of monopoly firm, Nikkatsu. People who entered motion picture industry in first period were highly-educated but exited soon. In second period, Number of people who entered increased sharply with growth of permanent motion picture theaters. Permanent motion picture theaters needed many movies to show thus the number of type of a job and job itself increased. And most of people who entered this period were able to form long term career in motion picture industry. Establishment of business model enable long career in the industry, but it required almost a decade to establish and enable to form long term career.
