This research develops a comprehensive model of interaction between organizational culture and commitment by integrating values of organizational commitment with the perspective of the values of organizational culture. The purpose of this paper is to characterize quantitatively the value elements of organizational culture and commitment in a major multinational Japanese automobile company and explore their relationship. The proposition is that major multinational companies in Japan use organizational culture to create effective commitment of the employees to have improved performance.
