バイオマスを利活用した木質防水トレーの研究

食品容器として発泡スチロール製等のプラスチックトレーが多用されており，一部はリサイクルされているが，その多くは家庭ゴミとして焼却，埋立されている。プラスチックトレーの代替品として，一部に間伐材の薄板を原料とした木質トレーが市販されているが，水分を吸収し食品が乾燥する等のため，その使用には制約がある。本研究においては，有機天然物の塗布により防水機能を付与した防水木質トレーを試作し，その実用性を評価した。 A plastic food tray made of expanded polystyrene has been widely used in the world. A part of the used trays are recycled, but most of them are thrown into fire or buried in the ground as household waste. At present, wooden trays made of thin woods are being developed, as a substitute for the plastic tray However, the woody tray absorbs moisture rom the food and desiccates it. Therefore, there is a practical difficulty with the wooden tray. In this study, a waterproof wooden tray with biomass is manufactured, and its quality is evaluated.
