On the fishes fauna of lake Hinuma, there is one paper by Tozawa and Nakazawa (1955) which reported 58 species belonging to 33 families and 54 genera. Afterwards, the present authors have researched since 1961 on the fauna of fishes in this lake and found 12 species and one variety more than the previous list. The fishes new to lake Hinuma are 12 species and one variety belonging to 10 families and 12 genera as listed below: Petromyzonidae 1. Entosphenus japonicus (Martens) Dorosomatidae 2.
