By performing test particle simulations, we study the velocity space diffusion and acceleration of charged particles in the presence of large amplitude magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves. Three particular points to be discussed are, (1) deviation of the measured diffusion coefficients from the values expected from the quasi-linear theory, as the normalized wave power increases, (2) the effect of the phase correlation among waves with different wave numbers, and (3) the dependence of the diffusion coefficients orl whether or not the waves are addiabatically introduced to the simulation system.
