In this study, a new technique to detect mass is proposed paying attention to normal glandula mammaria tissue in mammogram. The normal glandula mammaria tissue of each pixel is calculated in this technique first. Then, the difference is calculated from the concentration of original image and normal glandula mammaria tissue image. A mass emphasis image is created by this procedure. It is the procedure of detecting mass, by binarization to a mass emphasis image. Consequently, we have obtained good result with the sensitivity was 89% with 0.61 FP (False Positive) detections per image. It was may be useful for the detection breast mass screening.
