Compression of non-correlated data via wavelet transform

Data compression technique is import and required, when data are transmitted through a network efficiently. In this paper, we present a study on a compression of non-correlated data via the lossless wavelet transform, namely the S transform. We propose the modified S transform in which all results (both the high and low frequency parts) obtained from the previous level of S transform are re-transformed successively. In the modified S transform, each separated encoder is also applied to each of the final results obtained by the S transforms at the last level. Example computation present that a compression ratio up to 48% is obtained for random and non-correlated data.
