The thermal dolorimeter has been used to measure human pain thresholds. The laser beams are considered to be effective because of their narrow spectrum and excellent directivity. One- dimensional simulations of ideal heat transfer are executed with for 4 major laser beams, namely Ar, He- Ne, Nd: YAG and CO\_2_ laser raser respectively.In these simulations, the 3mW Ar laser seems to be most effective as heat source for the laser thermal dolorimeter. These results can be extended to three- dimensional models, which should yield more useful results in designing of laser thermal dolorimeter.
