The mathematical equations that describe and predict out-of-deflection, stresses and buckling load of a pendant-supported columned tower are developed in this paper. The effects of out-of-plane bending moments produced by boom inclination, and restraint by suspended ropes are considered in the analysis. Also the experiments using scale model are carried out and the validity of the analysis is confirmed by the experimental results.
