Existence of a refined effective "distance" m^^-(ε+iΓ) (ε; energy, Γ; degree of coarse-graining) is conjectured in infinite systems to measure, more precisely than the effective "distance" m^^-(E)(E = ε+iΓ) does, the contribution of local environment around the sites l and l′to the Green function G_<l,l'>(E). The effective "distance"m^^-(E) is numerically observed in some simple finite sample systems of 1-, 2- and 3-dimension. If the quantity 2m^^-(E) exists, it is expected to be an analytic continuation of the localization length l(ε) on the upper half of the complex energy plane.
