When seen from this comprehensive viewpoint, this research suggests that greater insight can be made into the political dynamics and process of globalization taking place in East Asia. Following a survey of the expanse and present influence of "Atom-Politics" in the Asian Region, this paper will focus upon the anti-nuclear movements taking place in Niigata, Japan, and will seek to understand the profound ramifications these activities have for the future of democracy.
