In this study a survey was conducted to confirm the necessity of making the decorations on the walls which are often seen at kindergartens and nursery schools. Confirming the necessity, the guidance methods, which help teachers at those institutions to understand the meaning of the wall decorations and also to get the knowledge to make them, are discussed refering to the writers experiences. The results of the survey showed that most of the kidergartens' walls (95%) were decorated with various things. And the apprentice students at such institutions are expected to participate in making the decorations, therefore students showed preference for studying wall decorations at schools (97% of the students prefered). As a conclusion of this study, following things are suggested for the guidance to make the wall decorations: 1) Teachers or students who are interested in the wall decorations should try to make them by themselves first. Then they should try to look other people's works. After that they should try to modify their own works having their objectives in view. 2) The creators of the wall decorations should have chidren's views and be able to expect the children's reactions to their works. 3) The creators of the wall decorations should have the skills to show the demensions, distances or three-dimensional sensation and also be able to use them properly making use of popular materials in their works. 4) The creators of the wall decorations should be able to express the feeling of the seasons, events or the situations of the stories clearly and properly refering to the themes in their works.
