Was the dress-reforming only carried out during the war when clothing materials were scarce? The reforming seems to be forgotten in this consuming-age when everyone wear clothes and dispose The following is a collection of enquete in reference to the reforming considered by the present-day people: The questionaires were sent to the people of six different age-groups, namely, teens, twenties, thirties, forties, fifties and over sixty, and 70% of the answers were received. 1. Reforming is good …..93.3% 2. Not necessary to reform …..5.7% 3. Don't know …..1.0% To the question, do you think it necessary to reform hereafter, too? 1. Yes …..90.5% 2. No …..9.5% In Japan it is not considered appropriate to wear a dress and then toss it away without repairing or reforming. A new dress made of superior material can be worn first as it is and then reforming it to wear again will give freshness and charm to it more than once, won't it?
