According to the examination of drinking water loaded in a deep sea fishing boat (small type), the water showed, in most cases, 10 or so in pH and had become a causative agent for mass diarrhea which crew suffered from. From the result of inspecting this cause by flame analysis etc., it was found that "removal of harshness" in water cement used in coating the inner side of water tank was insufficient, and that the drinking water loaded was mixed with sea water. Therefore, we knew that a different consideration from that we make on land for the management in preserving health is necessary for the drinking water to be used in a fishing boat.
