The result of the research made on the site in the winter of 1959 was published as a preliminary report in 1960 from the Culture Protection Committee of the Government of the Ryukyu Islands. The research was done to secure specimens from the destruction that was being done by sand-excavation. When the writer visited the site again late in the same year，the site was completely destroyed，leaving only the portion of a dirt road. It was quite fortunate，however, that the main portion of the midden was beneath the road. on this trip. some more specimens were collected from the surface. They were pottery sherds and stone implements. Bone and sheU artifacts that were secured in the '59 excavation，were not obtained. This paper aims，in addition to reporting these collections，to present 'newly-discovered stone objects shown in Fig. 5.
