In the play called Ihatobo Play Train (Ihatobo Geki Ressha) that treats the biography of Kenji Miyazawa, Hisashi Inoue courageously attempted to take up the problem regarding the Kokuchukai Clan. At that time, the clan was a Nationalistic group of Nichirenism. It is a known fact that Kenji was a member. In the early Showa period, which was in his later years, Japan had unstable social conditions with its own imperialistic policy of aggression. Our judgement about what Kenji's Nichirenism was is very important. Hisashi Inoue succeeded in demonstrating this in the biographical play, showing Nichiren Priest as a whining puppet figure. The goal of this essay is to argue about Hisashi Inoue's understanding of Kenji Miyazawa by verifying the whining personality of Nichiren Priest, the most important theme of the play.
