煙草空胴病々原菌の増殖に及ぼす煙草モザイック病の影響

According to the investigations accepted to date, the causal agency of mosaic disease becomes distributed throughout all parts of plants except seeds, namely leaves, stems, roots and capsules, resulting in a characteristic changes physical and chemical to the host cells. Therefore we may consider that the growth of plant pathogenic organisms, when penetrated into mosaic diseased plant, may be retarded or accelerated by the effects of mosaic principle. Bac. aroideae TOWNSEND was used to examine such effects of tobacco mosaic upon its growth and its growth was estimated by counting and rapidity of disease inoculated with it. The filtrate of mosaic tobacco leaves passed through Berkefeld filte r accelerated the growth of the organism more remarkably than that of healthy leaves when cultured in CZAPEK'S solution, and the stem of mosaic tobacco showed the appearance of disease more rapidly than that of healthy plant when inoculated with the organism.細菌,眞菌等植物病原菌がモザイック罹病植物に侵人寄生する時, モザイック病のために成育上何等かの影響を受くべきことは想像せらるゝ所なり。煙草空胴病々原菌 Bac. aroideae は健全煙草濾液を添加せるツアペック液に於てよりも同量のモザイック罹病煙草濾液を添加せるツアペック液に於て速に増殖せり。又健至煙草の莖よりも, モザイック罹病煙草の莖を速に腐敗せしむる傾向を示したり。此等の原因は Bac. aroideae がモザイック病々原體又はモザイヅク罹病煙草の特異なる理化學的組成に影響せられしものと考へらる。
