Inter-medial experiment in noh-kyogen-projections in A Spider's Thread

■In February. 2010 the Spider Web Project produced a performance at a small, multi -purpose hall featuring noh and kyogen professionals joined by a modern theatre narrator, projected screen computer graphic(CG) of 3-dimensional(3D) characters based on motion capture (mocap) data of a noh actor, to interpret Akutagawa Ryunosuke's A Spider's Thread. This article discusses the context for such experiments in contemporary dance- theatre, improvements on the first stage, and areas for further improvement of mocap projection and interaction in a planned 2.0 version December 21,2010. Spider Web プロジェクトは、2010年2月に小規模の多目的ホールで舞台公演を行った。本公演では、芥川龍之介の蜘蛛の糸を舞台化した創作劇が、ナレータ、3D CG 映像による演出の中、能狂言の役者によって演じられた。本稿では、現代的な本舞台公演での実験に関して、製作過程や得られた知見、また、2010年12月21日に予定している公演のための改善点について述べる。■
