Minakata Kumagusu (1867・1941)stayed in US and UK between 19 and 33 years old. and left acertain amount of materials left not only in Japan but abroad. The author has been discovering and analyzing such oversea materials of Kumagusu，wh ile researching his archives preserved in his former residence and other places in Japan. During this project. several important materials of both primary and secondary source were successfully found. This paper introduces these new materials. explaining how they shed new lights on the Iife and studies of Minakata Kumagusu in the following order. 1. Kumagusu's oversea income and the change of the rate between Yen and GBP. 2.Articles conceming Kumagusu in the Manchester Times. 3. On the presentation by Kumagusu in the British Association in 1898. which was perhaps arranged by Charles H. Read. 4. Kumagusu's notes in his own paper，“Footprints of Gods. etc.
