The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between commu-phobic andanthropophobic tendencies of subjective experiences in dyad and triad. The participants,university students were asked to experience the process from a dyad situation to a triadsituation;measurements of their ways of relationship,sense and feeling were collected.Cluster analyses were used for variables concerning commu-phobic and anthropophobiactendencies,and three large clusters were found. The students in cluster 1 showed a lowlevel of anxiety. They have a slight tension in dyad and good experience in triad. Studentsin cluster 2 showed a high level of anxiety. As the pattern peculiar to this cluster in theprocess from the dyad situation to the triad situation,they tried to keep a sense of unityin dyad, but they recognized the bond of others and felt dissatisfied in triad. They feltunique feeling with the third persons,and as if they were alone in triad. Students in cluster3 showed only commu-phobic tendencies. While they felt too close to the other and wereirritated in dyad,they felt lonely,but they could relieved to be with the second personsin triad. As a result,it was suggested that when a discrepancy between the way ofrelationship with others and the situation was showed,they had specific negative feelings.
