本研究は，大阪府下の中学校及び高等学校の女性体育教師・元女性体育教師，管理職者（体育科）への面接調査をもとに，体育教師の持つ大きな役割された次の３点（井谷2005） ①教科指導②生徒指導③部活動の指導における現状と，女性体育教師の継続の難しさを明らかにし，男性中心と考えられている体育教師社会や，女性体育教師の持つ問題点や役割を再検討することで，女性の職業としての体育教師について事例的に考察することを目的とする事例的研究（「女性の職業としての体育教師に関する事例的研究（Ⅰ）」大阪教育大学紀要 第Ⅳ部門 第59巻1号 pp.13-26. 2010.9.）の第Ⅱ報である。特に本稿では，「体育教師の仕事」について報告する。Generally speaking, women’s physical education teachers have lower status than men’s physical education teachers in Japan. The purpose of this case study was to examine the physical education teacher for the occupation for women by analyzing the interview research for women’s physical education teachers of the junior high and high schools in Osaka Prefecture. This is the continued study from the previous report with the same title “A Case Study of the Physical Education Teacher for the Occupation for Women（Ⅰ）” （ Memoirs of Osaka Kyoiku University, Ser.Ⅳ.Vol.59-1.,2010.9., pp.13-26.）. Especially, the purpose of the present study is to examine the following topics of work of physical education teachers: 1. Good physical education teacher. 2. Teaching the physical education classes. 3. The division of duties in the school. 4. The extracurricular activities.
